We are continuing on our glorious tradition of having way more good ideas than accomplishments that we actually see through. So no new mixes or edits, yet.
But here's a few good mixes I've really been feeling. Definitely quite revolutionary in regards to my musical tastes.
Eddie C: Dangerous mix
1. (intro) Theo
2. Philippe Cam - I Want A Car Like Yours (Karat)
3. Eddie C - Wonderful Loop (Karat)
4. 6th Borough Project - Do It To The Max (Instruments of Rapture)
5. Mark E - Deja Vu (Running Back)
6. The Revenge - Heavy Love (Instruments of Rapture)
7. Mark E - Freakin' and Shriekin' (Under the Shade)
8. KRL - Recession Beat (Wolf Music)
9. Motor City Drum Ensemble - Raw Cuts #5 (MCDE)
10. Detroit Experiment - Think Twice (original mix) (Juno)
11. Rainer Trueby - Ayers Rock (white)
12. Omar S - For Us All (FXHE)
13. Mike Dunn - A Groove (Desire)
14. Moodymann - ??? (KDJ)
15. Terrence Parker - Your Love (Seventh Sign)
16. Andres - Change My Mind (Mahogani Music)
17. Chicago Connection - Dancin' (Cajual)
The first one is by Eddie C. I must have blogged about him earlier, I definitely should have. This mix is full-on soulful stuff à la Moodymann, Theo Parrish or Mark E. It's full of newly found soulful disco edits from England mixed with deep techno/house from Detroit. And it's not only about good tunes, it's also about saying something with your music with this world where music functions mostly as a soundtrack to overconsumption.
Strangefruit @ Beats in Space
1. Zero Db – Anything`s Possible (XRabit Remix)
2. Primal Scream – Screamadelica
3. Patrick Watson – The Storm-Allsgood Edit
4. Sunburst Band – Delicious

6. Mungolian Jetset/Mari Boine – Suiovean Mamadoo
7. Projections – Set It Up
8. Mugwump – Boutade(Miseridub)
9. Jose Gonzalez – Killing For Love (Todd Terje Mix)
10. Simon Baker – Plastik (Todd Terje`s Turkatech)
11. Birth Control – Gamma Ray(MJnFTs Half Life Edit)
12. The Tubes – Slipped My Disco
13. Gene Hunt – Inspire (Abicah Soul Rmx)
14. Nina Simnone – Black Is The Color (Abicah Soul Rmx)
15. Igor Savin – Folk Sinteza
16. Joanna Newsom – The Book Of Right On (Pocketknife`s Scrowling Own Remix)
17. Tron Scott`s Freaks In Space – Moon Jocks And Prog Rocks
18. Shock – Dream Games
This one comes from a one-half of the crazy Mungolian Jetset. It's one of the most open, humorous, atmospheric mixes I've heard in ages. He takes all kinds of weird and wonderful records from all ages and genres and makes them all work together. Well worth the listen.
And yeah, good new week for y'all!!

Updated the link list
At last. On the right you can see some of the cool people who have had an influence on me. Maybe the other DWTF-guys will fill in with their own choices later on. It's by no means the final list, as I tried to put the focus on blogs that are updated frequently, local actives/friends and Finnish pioneer sites. I probably have forgotten few essential picks, so I'll update those sometime in the future.
Keeping on with the exposing influences... Below is a nice interview and a mix with one of my latest inspirational artists: Eddie C. He's been putting out solid, soulful and slowly growing songs for the ever tasteful Jisco Music label.
Mix and interview here.
"Let your mind be free" is a definately worth checking out. Have a good Tuesday.
